The shows from 9-18 July are with Squeeze, with the shows from 20 Aug-3 Sep being with Blondie. It has been announced on the official website that these are both "co-headline" tours, Cheap Trick will open some shows and close others. In both cases, each band will play a 75 minute set.

A statement has just been added to the messageboards on the official website which reads "There are some TENTATIVE dates being planned for a short UK tour. Dates are as follows: November 7 - Glasgow - venue is TBD; 8 - Wolverhampton - Wulfrun Hall; 11 - Manchester - Academy 2; 12 - London - Shepherds Bush Empire. Please note these dates are NOT CONFIRMED - they are TENTATIVE. Once they are confirmed, we will let you know here at cheaptrick.com".

Don't forget that the CT Webmaster is posting setlists to the official messageboards as each show happens.

The band released a statement via the official website on March 19th : "Bun E. Carlos is not currently the touring drummer for Cheap Trick. Bun E. remains a band member. Everyone is healthy and Cheap Trick will continue to tour as planned." Daxx Nielsen is filling in on drums on tour.

Whilst the band continue to promote "The Latest", Robin Zander is heavily involved in a new CD release. He has worked with a number of Nashville's premiere session musicians and other names to record an album being released under the band name Countryside. The CD, titled "Countryside Blvd" is released on 25 May by Big 3 Records in the US. The CD features a dozen songs, many of which were written by Robin.

Meanwhile, Sony again revisit the band's back catalogue, with the re-release of "One on One" together with "Next Position Please" on April 6th. In addition, the "Wounded Bird" label are set to re-release CT albums in the near future, with "Standing on the Edge", "The Doctor" and "Busted/Found All The Parts" all slated for June 8th in the USA in case anyone missed them first time around. Sony Legacy is also releasing a 3 CD compilation "The Music of Cheap Trick" on May 25th.

It's worth checking out the bands "YouTube" channel, as a number of new videos have recently been added. These include complete recent shows at Enoch, AB Canada and Tacoma WA as well as rehearsal footage of the song "Sleep Forever". In addition, the News/front page on the official website includes video of several recent interviews as well as links to recent news articles and reviews.

Don't forget to check the official website regularly. There are currently a lot of new photo's from recent shows/events, and of course cheaptrick.com is the first place to find news, up-to-date tour dates, as well as merchandise etc.

I hope you've found this latest issue informative and don't forget my archive website at www.ctnewseurope.co.uk If you receive this by paper mail, I'd be grateful you could send a stamped envelope for the next issue.
