There have been rumours/internet listings of the band playing some festival shows in Europe with Deep Purple in June/July, but it should be noted that these are unconfirmed.

During November a special promotional CD single was released of "My Obsession" together with "Come On Christmas". Also during that month, Bun E appeared on American TV frequently in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, drumming with Donna C (of The Donna's) in a commercial for the Target store's Thanksgiving Sale.

The New Years Eve show in Orlando went ahead successfully this year, having been rained off last year. Cheap Trick played two 45 minute sets, and at the end of the first were joined by Brian Johnson of AC/DC for a version of "Highway to Hell". Following the NYE and subsequent two shows, the band stayed on in Florida to start working on new material for their next CD.

January 8th saw the band play a special "Grand Opening Party" show at the newly opened Hard Rock Cafe in Detroit, and a small number of Trick International members were able to get tickets for this invitation only event.

The official website is (as always) at www.cheaptrick.com, and I understand that the Message Boards there will shortly be re-opened following an increased amount of malicious posting activity by troublemakers in the latter part of 2003.
